Ensuring Hope and Healing: CVC Featured on WFMZ for State Funding Milestone

Hope is a powerful thing!

For survivors of sexual violence, hope can look like knowing someone will answer the phone when they're ready to reach out. It can look like having access to counseling, advocacy, or a safe space to begin healing—whether that's days, months, or years after the trauma. That's why this moment matters.

Our Executive Director, Emily Gragonis, recently spoke with WFMZ about Pennsylvania's increased investment in rape crisis centers and what it means for survivors, our community, and the future of these essential services. This funding is more than a line item in a budget—it represents the voices of survivors being heard and the collective advocacy of organizations across the Commonwealth.

As Emily shared, "Seeing that work pay off and having, especially survivor voices, be heard and create impact is why we do this work."
