Victim Services
Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley is dedicated to
helping victims of violent crime and their significant others
cope with the traumatic aftermath of victimization. All of
the services of CVC are confidential and offered at no cost.
24-hour crisis counseling and support
- Support through a telephone hotline: (610) 437-6611
Hospital Emergency Room Accompaniment
- Experienced CVC counselors provide on site support
and counseling at any Lehigh Valley hospital emergency
room 24-hours a day
Police Accompaniment
- Experienced CVC advocates accompany victims to police
interviews, statements and line-ups at any police department
in Northampton or Lehigh County
Court Accompaniment
- Advocates staff the Northampton and Lehigh Victim Witness
Rooms in both courthouses, providing support and information
about case progress and proceedings. Advocates are also available
to attend preliminary hearings at District Justice's Offices.
Individual Counseling
- Experienced counselors provide one on one support to victims
and their significant others
Support Group Counseling
- Experienced counselors facilitate support groups,
which can help reduce victims' feelings of isolation.

- Rape Survivors Group
- Children's Support Group
- Pre Adolescent Group
- Teen Support Group
- Parents of Sexually Abused Children Support Group
- Adult Survivor of Childhood Sexual Abuse Group
- Male Survivor's Group
- Homicide Survivors Group
Victims Compensation
- Trained advocates help victims file for financial compensation
Services for Victims of Juvenile Offenders
- Advocates notify crime victims of proceedings and provide
information and support through the Lehigh County Juvenile
Justice System
Services for Older Adults
- Counselors provide support, counseling, advocacy and
prevention services to older adults in Northampton County
