SUPPORT GROUPS
Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley offers a variety of support groups to people living in Lehigh and Northampton Counties. All support groups are confidential, offered at no cost and are co-facilitated by two counselors.

We recommend speaking with a counselor to help you determine if a support group is the right choice for you.
Children's Support Group is offered to children ages 3-7 and 8-12 who have ben sexually abused/assaulted. Some of the topics discussed include feelings, coping skills and safety issues.
Teen Support Group is for adolescents who have been sexually abused/assaulted. Some of the topics covered include relationships, coping skills and self-image/self-esteem.
Adult Survivors' Group is offered to women who have been sexually abused/assaulted. Some of the topics discussed are coping skills, relationships and boundries.
Advanced Adult Survivor Group is offered for those who wish to continue after the Adult Survivors Group.
Male Survivors' Group is offered to men over the age of 18 who have been sexually abused/assaulted. Some of the topics covered include coping skills, self-esteem and relationships.
Parent/Caregivers Support Group is offered to parents and/or guardians/caregivers of children who have been sexually assaulted/abused. Some of the topics covered include self-care, coping skills and how to help your child.
Homicide Survivors' Group is offered to both men and women who have lost a loved one due to homicide. The group is on-going, meeting once a month.
All support groups are offered in the evenings throughout the year for 8-10 weeks. The groups are closed to new members after the first week (The Homicide Group is the only on-going group meeting once a month).

All groups are confidential and offered at no cost. An interview is required before attending any support group.
